2009 Special Guests

Jeremy Affeldt

Giants Pitcher Jeremy Affeldt and his family, along with Giants mascot, Lou Seal, will be joining us at the 28th annual parade! Affeldt established himself as one of the best left-handed relief pitchers in the majors in 2009, leading the National League and ranking 3rd overall in the majors with a 1.73 ERA. His 33 holds were tied for the major-league lead and were the 2nd-most in San Francisco single-season history. Affeldt posted a career-best 28.0-inning scoreless streak from May 8-July 24, marking the longest streak by a Giants relief pitcher in the last 40 years. The parade is excited to welcome Affeldt to the parade, as he is a leading community member in youth programs and was the Giants 2009 nominee for the Jefferson Award for Outstanding Public Service by an Athlete.

Chelsea Staub

The parade is excited to announce the special appearance of Chelsea Staub and the Radio Disney Dance Crew! The group is yet another exciting element of the 2009 Adventures in Toyland Parade! Chelsea is best known for playing Stella Malone on Disney Channel’s Original Series JONAS, a series starring the Jonas Brothers! She will be joined by The Radio Disney Road Crew Dancers…the Radio Disney Crew is a group of dancers that combine the latest dance moves with the hottest songs on Radio Disney. Don’t miss them at the parade on December 6 at 8:30 am, and be sure to stop by the Radio Disney Booth at ParadeFest@Christmas in the Park immediately following the parade for pictures and autographs!

EriAm Sisters

The newly popular bold and beautiful voices of the singing trio of sisters will be joining us this year at the parade! That’s right parade fans, the EriAm Sisters are coming to San Jose for the 2009 “Adventures in Toyland” celebration! This beautiful and talented group is best known for their appearance on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and their newly released single, BFF. For last two years, Haben, Salina and Lianda have wowed crowds across the nation with their stage presence and extraordinary performances. Their career has only just begun, yet they have already had the opportunity to work with some of the most respected producers in the industry and have performed in various celebrity and VIP events, including a VIP event. They are coined to be “next big thing” in music, and the San Jose Holiday Parade is pleased to have them perform at this years big event!!

Peanuts Characters

Everyone’s favorite Beagle will be making a new home in San José, and the parade will be his fist stop on his journey to California’s Great America! Parade fans can hang out with Snoopy and the gang at the “Adventures in Toyland” parade and it’s auxiliary events! Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and the beagle himself – Snoopy will be making a special appearance at the parade, for some good ole’ wholesome family fun!
